What Are Halal Non-alcoholic (0.0%) Wines? Are All Your Wines Halal?

Halal wines are alcohol-free or de-alcoholized wines that are all 0.0% alcohol by volume.

There is no alcohol in these wines. We do not carry any wines with a <0.5% ABV (standard definition of non-alcoholic).

These wines are regularly audited to ensure they meet Halal 0.0% requirements. Most of our products have Halal Certification.

    What Is The Process?

From vineyards, premium grapes will be harvested, crushed, and fermented. The grapes undergo a normal fermentation process. These grapes are aged for a period of time depending on the winemaker.

Once they are finished aging, they will go through their filtration process. A variety of filtration methods are available. The three main types of filtration methods are Reverse Osmosis, Vacuum Distillation, and Spinning Column.

Computer systems and rigorous testing ensure that all of these non-alcoholic wines have an ABV of 0.0%. Legal laws and International Islamic Councils carefully monitor these steps to ensure these wines have no alcohol in them.

After the filtration process, the now non-alcoholic 0.0% wines are ready for bottling and distribution throughout the world.

Learn more by Visiting our “Process for 0.0%” Page.

How is this different from grape juice?

Several ways - from the process to the taste to even the type of grapes used.

The processes of juice-making and wine-making are entirely different. Typically, juices are made from concentrate and involve only a few steps with a lot of added products such as sugar and preservatives, and then just pasteurized.

Our Wines are sourced from the best wineries in Spain, France, Italy,  undergo fermentation, aging, filtration, testing etc. There are no added sugars or heavy preservatives.

Simply looking at the calories, carbs, sugar content from juice vs wines will nutritionally show the difference between the products.

Juices typically have 120+ calories, 30+grams of carbs, 30+grams of sugar per serving.

Our wines are 12+ calories, 3.5+grams of carbs, 3.5+ grams of sugar per serving.

A wine's aging process results in many different notes and flavors. That is why nonalcoholic wines are not called juice because they aren't.

Where do these wines get produced?

The majority of our wines are produced in Europe. Our nonalcoholic wines come mostly from France, Spain, Italy, and Germany. Wineries with whom we currently work have specialized in nonalcoholic wines for many years now, using the latest technology to produce tasty wines without alcohol. As this market grows exponentially, we will be bringing in more quality 0.0 wines and beverages from all over the globe.

How do you preserve these wines?

Keep them in a dry, cool place below 70 degrees. Once opened, keep it in the refrigerator tightly sealed. Consume within 3-5 days of opening. When the bottle is unopened, these wines have a shelf life of 3 years.

    How do I drink Wine?

We recommend using the 4’s of Wine Tasting. All products should be slightly chilled for best taste.

     Step 1: Sight

Hold your glass up a bit, preferably toward natural light and against a white background. How would you describe the color? Whites can range from almost clear to light yellow to rich gold. Reds can range from pink to purple to almost black.

     Step 2: Swirl

Gently swirl the wine in your glass to let in more oxygen and release its aromas and flavors. This is called “volatilizing the esters.” Do not do this for sparkling wine!

     Step 3: Smell

Be bold with your sniffing. CLose your eyes and stick your nose right into the glass. What do you notice?

     Step 4: Sip

Take a good, medium sized sip. Don’t swallow right away. Purse your lips and gently roll the wine around in your mouth. If you want, draw in some air across your tongue to bring out the flavors even more.

     Step 5: Enjoy!

Who is suited to drink your beverages?

Since all our products contain at most 0.0% alcohol, there is no risk for anyone who wishes to enjoy our beverages.

Whether you want to stop consuming alcohol, have health issues, want to throw a kid-friendly party, or are pregnant, worry not because our alcohol-free products are safe for all ages.

However, if you feel uncertain we do recommend you speak with a doctor for your specific case.

Can I drink Halal Non-alcoholic Wines while pregnant?

Although it’s unlikely that consuming non-alcoholic beverages would pose any harm, we always advise expectant mothers to consult a physician before making decisions about their diet.

The Surgeon General does not require a pregnancy warning for beverages with less than 0.5% alcohol by volume, ours are ALL 0.0% ABV, so many feel comfortable drinking non-alcoholic wines.

Ultimately, the choice to drink our wines is up to the discretion of the individual and their unique journey.

Can I get drunk or intoxicated from drinking non-alcoholic wine?

Simply put it is impossible to get drunk or intoxicated from drinking our non-alcoholic 0.0% wines.

What form of payment do you accept?

A Great Alternative to Traditional Wine

As a wine lover who has had to give up alcohol for health reasons, I was excited to try Prestige Merlot. I was pleasantly surprised by how closely it resembled traditional Merlot in terms of flavor and aroma. It has a great depth of taste and is perfect for sipping on its own or pairing with food. I'm so grateful to have found this nonalcoholic wine, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying alternative to traditional wine.

Taste like vinegar, weird texture, and hazy color

It was a super bad experience. Not sure if it is because I love alcoholic wine. If I compare, it with an alcoholic red blend, I would not even call it wine. Sorry, but it is far from being considered a wine substitute
